- Anysberg Reserve
Numerous archeological sites are dotted over the Anysberg Reserve. Rockart
depicting scenes from the past and ruins dating from the late 1700's are reminders
of the early hunters, farmers and herdsmen who inhabited the area.

- Hoeko and Knuyswagensdrift
On the Knuyswagensdrift/Hoeko road you will find
the Water Monument. a water seepage tunnel was built in 1910 -1912
to provide drinking water to the Ladismith community.
The initial phase was about 86m, extended by an additional 66m in 1944. Most
of the original tunnel was built by hand although an antique crane was used
to remove excess material from the site. Workmen excavated deep into the earth
- the water level is between 4 and 4,8m below the surface - to ensure that
the tunnel was under the river bed. The tunnel runs diagonally across the
river bed and is filled with riversand and stones. At the bottom is a canal
collecting the naturally-filtered pure water, being conveyed through gravity
and a pipeline to two cement reservoirs. From there the water flows to reservoirs
situated above the town, from where it is distributed throughout town.
- Zoar and Amalienstein
Approximately 20km east of the town on Route 62 you will find Zoar and
Amalienstein, former Berlin Mission Stations, with the old church in Amalienstein.
