The Aardvark Nature Reserve is situated 40 km from Ladismith on the R323 towards Riversdale

The Reserve lies in the succulent Karoo, a desert biome with the highest diversity of succulent plants in the world.  Trained guides will guide you to the magic of the ecosystem, teaching you how to recognise the tracks of the  diversity of animals.  Explore some fascinating fossils formed 400 million years ago.  We also offer guided 2 days horse-backed safaris, with overnight in a tented camp.  Hiking and 4x4 trails to be explored as well.  It's a nature lover's paradise!
